Going Organic For Easter!

Not all of the ideas below will be in the deal category, but if you are looking for some fun and interesting organic Easter basket ideas, I have come up with a few.

Fun Ideas For The Kiddos (Baskets):

Instead of using a traditional basket, consider using something that can be used by the kids. I saw someone use a dump truck and put the goodies in the back of the truck. The Green Toys Dump Truck shown is Made from 100% curbside-collected recycled milk jugs, has 100% recyclable packaging, contains no phthalates or BPA and is Made in USA!

Another idea is to use the Green Toys Sand Play Set. You could fill the bucket with goodies. Since summer is right around the corner, this is a great way to get something now that will be used for several months.

The Disney Earth Day Mickey Mouse Garden Tool Set & Bag for Kids is made of 100% organic cotton fabric printed with soy based ink. The tools are metal with wooden handles. This is no longer available on the Disney site, but you can get it on amazon. Fill the unused pockets with other goodies to make a cute spring gardening Easter basket.

The Organic Mini Tote from Organiluxe on Etsy is made from 100% certified organic cotton canvas. They also have an extra layer of canvas in the straps to make them extra-durable. Perfect for little girls who want their totes (purses). It's only $12.50!

Organic Candy ideas:
Chocolate is an easy thing to put in baskets. There are several organic chocolate bars on the market. My favorite of course is Green & Blacks. You can get a $1/1 coupon on their site as well. Other organic chocolate companies include Equal Exchange, Dagoba and Endangered Species. Check out even more options at The Natural Candy Store.

Other non-chocolate candy ideas include:

Yummy Earth Organic Lollipops $12.95

Spun City Organic Cotton Candy. Manufactured in the USA and is Gluten/ Casein Free, GMO Free and Vegan. $20.76 for a pack of 6.

Surf Sweet Organic Gummies, Jelly Beans, Gummy Bears and more! Surf Sweet candy is made in the USA, from organic ingredients and without artificial flavors or colors. Prices vary.

Other "Snack Type" Ideas:
Annie's Homegrown Berry Patch Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks. These often go on sale at Target for $2.99 a box.

Tasty Brand Organic Fruit Snacks. Available on Amazon and also Whole Foods. For coupons and special promotions, email them at: info@Tastybaby.com.

HappyBaby Organic HappyMelts. Available at Toys-R-Us & Whole Foods for around $3-$4.

479 Organic Popcorn. This organic popcorn looks dreamy! It is made after it is ordered by hand in small batches and is shipped the same day it is made. Definitely on the "luxury side" of the price scale, but it looks fantastic.

Other Organic Plush, Toys and More:

Beatrix Potter Organic Peter Rabbit are made of Certified Organic Cotton, eco-friendly materials are phthalate free and PVC free.

Organic Play Dough! We love this at our house. It is different from the typical store variety of play dough and we like that better. If it dries out a little water is all you need to get it working again. There are a few brands I like, Eco Kids Modeling Dough & Max's Mud.

Living Organic Easter Pail
from Potting Creations. Kit includes leak-resistant recycled steel pail, name tag sticker, organic wheat seed, organic growing medium and organic coco chips.

Dying Easter Eggs:

Besides making dye yourself, you can order Eco Eggs, an all natural dying kit made from real food like blueberries. You can get ingredients to make your own dye here.

That no way near covers all of the fabulous ideas for an organic Easter, so if you have any others, please leave them in the comments so everyone can enjoy them!
