Natural Product Expo Day 2 recap

The Natural products Expo was full of awesome products to tell you about, so here is a recap of my second day. Amazingly I spent four days there and still didn’t see all of the booths I wanted to.

The second day I spent at what they called the “Next Pavilion”. The exhibitors here are new and trying to get the word out about their products. This is where I found some great new items that I hope can be taken to the next level.

Here are five of my favorite finds:

1. The Organic Candy Factory Gummies: If you are familiar with the Surf Sweet brand, these will look familiar to you, they have very similar product offerings.

Their new organic sugar sprinkled gummy worms are a mix of  Tangerine, Sour Apple, and Pink Grapefruit flavors that are also gluten free, gelatin free, preservative free, pesticide free, nut free, tree nut free, GMO Free, corn syrup free, are vegan and contain no artificial flavors, colors, or sweeteners.

These are available now at William Sonoma stores.

If you’ve ever seen those fun dirt desserts, these will be excellent for that. My son and I are making them this week, so stay tuned!

2. MPWR Skincare For Teens: We’ve all seen the Proactive commercials on TV, but I’ve yet to see a certified organic skin care line that is marketed for and to teens. The packaging is great for the teen demographic and they use a 4 step system designed to keep those pesky blemishes under control.

This isn’t available yet, but if you have a teen, look for it this summer.

3. Hey Suga Organic Sugar Cane Syrup: My first thought when I saw this was, yay! I can use that in my marshmallows next Christmas! This is cane sugar syrup that is Non-GMO verified, unrefined, vegan friendly and gluten-free.

Ingredients: Organic Invert Cane Sugar, Water.

It could be used in homemade marshmallows or in iced tea so you don’t crunch on the sugar as it sits at the bottom… ever notice that? Regular sugar does not dissolve in iced tea!

Get it online at the Hey Suga website.

4. Shoosha Truly Organic Baby: The packaging really grabbed my attention to this skincare for Mom and Baby. You can see the USDA organic seal prominently on the front and the simple, clean design is great.

They were very generous and gave me a sample size of a bunch of their products that I gave to my friend that has a 5 month old baby. She says she loves the smell of the products and that the lotion is great to rub on. They also have a sensitive skin laundry soap that is great on cloth diapers according to the company representative I spoke to.

I would give this as a gift to any new Mom as a baby shower gift.

This is a Canadian Company, so you can only order online from them currently in the US, but they are coming to the states soon.

5. Garden Of Flavor Cold Pressed Organic Juices: I guess I’m a sucker for good looking packaging, because this brand also caught my eye with their vibrant colors and adorable way they package a one day cleanse.

They also tasted great too, which is kind of important for beverages.

They are only in select states right now, and you can see if yours is one of them on their website.
